7 Ways to promote Your St Patrick’s Day Event

St Patrick’s Day is HUGE for retail and hospitality! Here are our seven tips to help market your event!

  1. Posters and Flyers – Promote your big event with some A3, a4 or even bigger posters. People read posters, display them in areas with good footfall! On the back of toilet doors and in corridors.
  2. Menus – Planning a special drinks menu or some St Patrick’s Day food then you need a specially printed and themed menu for the day. Well presented and well branded a special menu will make it easy to promote what you have on the day in advance and help people book in as required.
  3. Stickers – Running a special promotion or sale, why not get some St Patrick’s Day themed stickers. We are naturally drawn to read what the sticker says, a bright colour stands out and again attracts attention.
  4. Get those upsells and added extras with some point-of-sale strut cards – ideal to place on the bar or at checkout to promote additional offers. Have these in place in the run up to St. Patrick’s Day so your regular customers know what you have planned and how to buy tickets in advance if required.
  5. Table Talks – smaller versions of the strut card which sit on the table, perfect for drinks menus and on the day promotions
  6. Luck of the Irish with you? Why not runs some giveaway promotions, branded pens, keyrings and t-shirts are popular for this time of year and provide longevity in their marketing capability as people tend to keep them and not throw them away!
  7. Really want to be different? What about St Patrick’s Day printable chocolate bar wrappers! Who doesn’t like chocolate – we love this simple idea we spotted on somewhatsimple.com, it is an effective and memorable way to add some Irish Charm to your St Patrick’s Day celebrations?
